Oliver Codrington

Board Director

Oliver Codrington was called to the bar in 2003, having read a degree in Law and Accountancy. • Taking a leadership role in horseracing’s response to accusations of institutional corruption linked to the deregulation of the betting market and the advent of Betfair.

  • Advising the International Olympic Committee prior to Beijing 2008 so that they were prepared for the possibility of betting-related corruption.

  • Designing and implementing a ‘fit and proper’ licensing regime for horseracing, which was effectively the first of its kind for sport worldwide.

  • Successfully stewarding a portfolio of businesses through Covid-19, including having to shut the doors of 11 Chiropractic clinics for 8 weeks.

Q&A

Q: Tell us something interesting about you.

I tell dad jokes, I retain more Bon Jovi lyrics than I do actual useful facts, and I married my Chiropractor (after paying her to fix my back).

Q: What are you going to do when you retire?

Travel a lot, hopefully help others to set up their dream lives, and build passive income streams with businesses that change the world one little bit at a time.

Q: If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go?

So many places: right now, I’m thinking of taking my children to walk Maca Picchu while it’s still possible, or maybe to see some of the ice cap.
